Founded in 2015 by Dominique Uwase Alonga, Imagine We started as a small organization aiming to improve literature in Rwanda, tackling different parts of the problem, such as insufficiency of Books,non-existent reading culture, few publishing houses, to name a few.
The founder was pushed by a grant from TIGO that helped set up a small office, organize reading and writting competitions, Collecting books – to be redistributed later, and get started on the amazing journey.

Imagine We Rwanda has the vision that one day, every school in Rwanda will be equipped with Leisure reading materials and will include a Reading Hour in their curriculum. Imagine We aims to empower schools with the necessary materials and trainings so that the children of Rwanda can become future authors, avid readers,
research-driven thinkers.

Our Approach

  • Empowering Authors

We works closely with different authors in Rwanda, this is an initiative that is accomplished by gatherings of authors where they exchange ideas with each other like:

    » Writing competition
    » Reading competition
    » Writing Workshops

  • Publishing Books

Imagine We Publishers has a vision to see our public libraries and schools filled with books written by Rwandans and for Rwandans, thus we strive to encourage and help all Authors get their stories out there
